A great way to learn and work with the uniqueness of people!
From their it was into office work but found by 2 pm my head was on the desk. Meanwhile I met my husband through a blind date from a mutual friend. We dated 3 years and were married in the fall of 1977. Still very much together. I feel blessed. We share our home with 7 cats and 2 large dogs. Constant entertainment!
Let me back up a little here and say, my mother unwittingly taught me the fine art of color mixing and design as I was growing up. A love of color was awakened in me as I watched her use color and texture in making our house a home. Taking it further and driving her crazy, I would rearrange the furniture till it was just right. Good memories.
Leaving my childhood home behind it was time to start my life and home. While many were doing the blue and rose I was painting gray walls with deep navy carpet and loving it. The drummer was beating a different sound for me. Home number two was brand new. Hmmm...what do you do with all those rooms at once? Luckily I had been reading every design book I could get my hands on for years and had/have an extensive collection of books..but by then my "style" was coming into its own as my Tuscan roots were starting to show. Soft yellow walls...rust red papers... terra cotta, with blues and so the house became a home and we were blessed.
Ah..the third home. This has to be the most creative adventure ever. I was in my glory designing this house. I started with a grid and watched her go up from their. Every room ,every window and what it would reflect outdoors was considered. I love detail. Yes, it is Tuscan! It is full of love, silly animals, and good food and the vine I also love to cook. Another of mother's gifts she left me with. She passed away while the home was being built .. a bitter sweet time. She would of loved it. I could not go into my beautiful kitchen the first Christmas here.(We moved in on a late September day) I designed it for us.
Are ya still with me? lol......then I will finish up by saying beads were suppose to be in my life all along. Had it not been for my dust allergies and setting the art of Floral Design aside and taking a beading class with my oldest sister, I would not be typing this right now. Two and a half years have passed since my first beading class and from that day forward I have not looked back only concentrating on starting my own business. I truly love the art of beading and all the wonderful people that come with it!
Please keep in mind while you shop through my store that many people make a necklace, bracelet, or earrings possible.. as it truly is a blending of souls. You are the final connection in that circle of art. Thank you for considering my designs!
Sincerely,
